Our Services

Our community oriented programs work to promote engagement, knowledge-sharing, collaboration and action between stakeholders and citizens in order to ignite systemic change in our local and global fashion industry.

Our 3 Pillars

Education

We strongly believe in intersectional and equity-based fashion education. We excel in bringing together intergenerational and multicultural communities to build capacity, educate, and engage in collective action.

  • Our education programs engage youth and community members to build awareness about an industry that keeps many facets of its supply chain concealed from the public. This program is filling the gap in transparency and building awareness around an industry that keeps the industry concealed from the public. Threading Change strongly believes in intersectional and equity-based fashion education. We excel in bringing together intergenerational and multicultural communities to build capacity, educate, and engage in collective action. We want to engage citizens with meaningful information to demand an industry that exists within a well-being economy.

  • Our keystone international program, "Textile Talks," is a webinar series that brings together experts, brands, and community members to discuss hot topics related to the fashion industry from fashion supply chains to livelihoods, policy, design and innovation. We provide a safe space for discussion and thought integration across the multiple tiers of fashion industry from stakeholders to citizens. These discussions are a critical step in transitions to a clean, safe, fair, transparent and accountable fashion industry both locally and globally.

  • We have seen a gap in how citizens interact with the fashion industry. With this program citizens and youth will work with industry stakeholders and our GISM brands to support their sustainable goals. This is a partnership program, that can be done with Post secondary schools, clubs and community groups. We saw the need to raise awareness and bring industry leaders, experts, brands, and community members together in the fashion supply chain, policy, design, entrepreneurial space. We strongly believe in intersectional and equity-based fashion education, to us this means bringing citizens, wearers and youth to the table and give them an opportunity to design and co-create the solutions.

Innovation

We help connect innovative ethical brands and organizations with potential investment funding, networking opportunities, and global exposure through visualization, storytelling, and knowledge-sharing.

  • The Global Innovation Story Map is a visualization project that elevates the stories of sustainable and ethical global brands and organizations leading the way in the fashion industry. Since 2020, Threading Change has been showcasing the efforts of slow fashion leaders from around the world. Now it’s time to focus on putting Vancouver on the map as the ethical fashion leader it is!

  • Threading Change is launching a seasonal series of clothing swaps that are accessible, and welcoming to all genders and bodies. Our clothing swaps are an up-stream solution to textile waste that celebrates personal style and aims to re-ground clothing consumption habits in a traditional 4-season fashion year. Our goal is to divert clothing from landfills and reduce carbon emissions by extending the life-cycle of clothing already in our community, while engaging individuals in local solutions to textile waste.

  • The Threading Change Membership Network is a global community made up of organizations, governments and businesses. The Membership Network facilitates industry-wide collaboration, and advocates on behalf of members in order to initiate sustainable and ethical change in the fashion industry. By connecting members to Community, Investment, Knowledge and Exposure, the Membership Network enables local projects to have global impact.

Consultation

We engage with diverse and multi-level stakeholders to represent youth and BIPOC communities at the decision-making table, collaboratively advocating for a just fashion future and circular economy.

  • We want to engage citizens with meaningful information to demand an industry that exists within a well-being economy. As well as provide meaningful guidance to brands, upcoming generations and educators. Our consulting program offers a range of services to sustainable brands and businesses including JEDI, SDG integration and youth engagement consulting.

  • Youth are underrepresented in fashion decision-making. Our Ideation Jams are a series of brainstorming sessions for youth where we ask them what they would like to see in their local fashion industry. We set out to amplify youth perspectives and bring their ideas into all projects that Threading Change takes on.
